Pudina paratha 2

Pudina paratha is a delicious mint  flavoured paratha,or may be called as an instant paratha  since the stuffing is not done. This paratha came out very soft and tasty.I prepared palak paneer as an accompaniment with this paratha.Paratha’s can be had for breakfast, lunch or dinner.Last time I prepared Pudina paratha in a traditional way and served it with Dum aloo.Do try both the recipes. Both are equally good.

Ingredients:
Whole wheat flour-2 cups
Mint leaves-fresh, chopped or dry- 2 tbsp
Carom seeds-1 tsp
Ghee-2 tbsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder-1/2 tsp
Oil or ghee- to roast the paratha

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and add enough water to make a soft dough.
  2. Make walnut sized balls and roll out into a thin chapathi.
  3. Heat a tawa and fry on both sides till crisp and well browned.
  4. You may use ghee or oil to fry the paratha.(I used a tsp of ghee to fry each paratha)
  5. Serve hot.
