Chocolate sprinkle cookies(Eggless)

My blog crossed 1 lakh page visits yesterday and I dedicate this post to all my readers and well wishers for the support and encouragement…..Past few days I’m in a mood to bake cookies and I’m enjoying it very well….Last week my fb friend Vidya Nayak Shenoy had posted coconut cookies from the blog Treat and trick and I bumped into this blog immediately and found this recipe in that beautiful space.Want to try many more bakes….

Recipe adapted from:Treat and trick



Ingredients:
All purpose flour-1 cup minus  2 tbsp
Cornflour-2 tbsp
Butter-100 gms
Sugar-1/3 cup,powdered
Baking powder-1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence-1/4 tsp
Chocolate sprinkles-5 tbsp,divided
Cold water-1 -2 tbsp if required


Method:

  1. Sieve maida,cornflour and baking powder.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together,add vanilla essence.
  3. Add the sieved ingredients,2 tbsp chocolate sprinkles and knead it smoothly.
  4. If required add water.(I did not add)
  5. Preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 160 d C.
  6. Pinch lemon balls and slightly flatten.
  7. Dip the balls onto a plate spread with chocolate sprinkles equally.
  8. Arrange the balls in an ungreased  baking tray(I used wax paper liners)
  9. Bake it for 15 – 17 minutes and cool it for 5 minutes.
  10. Transfer it to a cooling rack and cool it completely.
  11. Store it in an airtight container.
