Chicken Mughlai
I had prepared this dish few months back and had almost forgotten about the same . I adapted the recipe from Zee Kannada ‘Oggarane dabbi ‘ cookery show . It gives me an immense happiness when I share the recipes with you all dear readers . I have faced many experiences in the past which has only made me strong . Nothing can stop me from blogging . Ingredients for the marinade :
Chicken – 1 kg
Curds – 1/2 cup
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Onion paste – 1
Other Ingredients :
Butter – 3 tbsp
Bay leaf – 1
Cardamom – 2
Cloves – 2
Cinnamon – small piece
Onion paste – 1 onion
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Green chilly – 3 , chopped
Pepper powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tbsp or more
Garam masala powder – 1tsp
Salt – to taste
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp , chopped
Ingredients for the paste :
Cashewnut – 5 – 6
Khus khus – 1 tsp
Method:
- Marinate the chicken with all the ingredients mentioned above for 1 hour .
- Make the paste of cashewnut and khus khus and keep it ready .
- Heat butter in a pan add whole garam masala .
- Add onion paste and saute for 3 ,4 minutes .
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw smell disappears .
- Add green chilly ,marinated chicken , pepper powder and garam masala powder .
- Add salt to taste , add little water and cook the chicken until done .
- Add the cashewnut and khus khus paste and mix well .
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
- Serve it hot .
