Dahi puri

Dahi puri is one of my favorite chat.My favorite joint is Janata delux  restaurant where we get the best dahi puri which they serve chilled and is little sweetish in taste.You may also check the recipes of my  other chats here.Most of the chaats are somewhat similar with khatta meeta(sour and sweet) in taste.If the chutneys are ready chaats are very easy to prepare.Makes a great evening snack.

Ingredients:
Puffed puris-1 packet
Curds-1/2 lt
Sugar-1/4 cup or more
Chat masala-1/4 tsp
Kala namak-a pinch
Chilly powder-a pinch
Potatoes-2,boiled and chopped
Sprouted green gram-1/2 cup,cooked
Roasted cumin powder-1 pinch
Green chutney-as per taste


For the garnish:
Pomegranate-few seeds for garnish
Fine sev-as much as needed(1/2 cup approx)
Coriander leaves- 2-3 tsp ,chopped ,for garnish

Method:
  1. Whip the curds lightly by adding sugar,chat masala powder,chilly powder,kala namak,cumin powder and salt to taste.
  2. Spread little curds in a plate and arrange the puris ,stuff boiled potatoes,moong,sweet chutney,green chutney,top it with curds,sev,garnish coriander leaves and pomegranate seeds.
  3. Serve immediately.
  4. For best results use  fresh and chilled curds.
